silly face
This boy
loves his soy ‘chik’n’ nuggets.
He also is 33 inches tall and weighs 29 1/2 pounds. WHOA.
New words (previous list HERE)
Instead of ‘otter’, he now says WaaWaa (Water)
Me
Mine
Pees (Please)
Nana (Banana)
Elp (Help)
Dow (down)
Up
Marco now tells us whenever he wants or needs a diaper change.
He’s been out of the high chair for awhile, but now he’s tired of the booster seat with the tray attached; we’re starting to leave off the tray and let him eat from the big boy table.
Marco loves to read his books, and lately his favorites are:
I Am A Bunny by Richard Scarry
Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Bill Martin Jr/Eric Carle
Mr Pusskins: A Love Story by Sam Lloyd
any of the Sesame Street board books (he likes to point out the characters)
Marco is starting to like Caillou on the Sprout channel, and the other day he was trying to sing the theme song. So cute!
Christmas Tree farm
This year, Marco was able to fully enjoy the Christmas Tree farm (last year he was a wee thing) – and boy howdy! He loved it! We went with our neighbors, and the Gomers. It was great with all the happy kids running around in the outdoors. Here’s a few fun snaps from the adventure:
Peek a boo!
Lately
Marco’s grown so much in the past month, and I want to keep as faithful a record as I can of his development – so here’s the list of words and phrases he’s said in the past few weeks:
Uh-oh
Bye-bye
No
Yeah
More
Mama
Dada
Woo (Roux)
Abeler (Stabler)
Co (Chloe)
Tank oo (Thank you)
Elcome (You’re welcome)
Otter (Water)
Ape (Grape)
Nigh-nigh (Night night)
Ga-ga (Grandpa – lol Lady Gaga)
He gives lots of kisses and hugs, and likes when we give his stuffies kisses. Today, he even grabbed his monkey and his Pooh bear and had them kiss. SO ADORABLE.
Marco’s eating habits are still good; the only change is he won’t try meat. I’ve given him chicken (he’ll sometimes eat if I put in a quesadilla), turkey (no), fish (no). We’re thinking it might be because he’s never seen me eat it – I don’t know if that’s something he’s picked up on, and thinks that it’s bad. If we put meat or fish on his plate, he eats everything around the meat. My vegetarian boy, I guess! His favorite foods right now are:
Grapes
Bananas
Grilled cheese – we’ve started using a new recipe, from Deceptively Delicious; the grilled cheese with Butternut Squash puree is so good! Marco is enjoying the change!
Whole wheat crust mini pizzas
Soy nuggets
Pears
Olives
Coco Pop popcakes from Whole Foods – super tasty organic whole wheat, corn and rice cakes
Edamame
Avocado
Oranges
Tomatoes! He’s been so happy with our tomato plants in the garden; he loves to pick tomatoes and snack when we play outside.
Pasta
During our trip to Disneyland, we stopped off at a CPK for dinner – he ate the entire plate of pasta shown above! LOL
He’s wearing a size 18 months in regular clothes, but his pajamas are all 2T or 24 months; his shoe size is 6.
Our little guy has all of his teeth now, with the exception of his 2nd molars. Evidently those will show up by the time he’s 3. I’m pretty impressed with his chompers!
I’ll be posting a few videos soon, so stay tuned.
Trick or treat, I will.
Marco’s 2nd Halloween! Last year, we dressed him as Darth Vader. This year, he left the Dark Side for the Force…he was Yoda!!
He was so cute I ‘squee’d about 1000 times. heh heh
How about that adorable hat? We bought it on etsy from KreativeKroshay - much cuter than the hat that came with the robe. Marco’s daycare went around the town to visit local businesses (and get candy), and they came to my office too! I was so excited to show him off to my coworkers.
You can’t see them in the pictures, but he also wore THESE shoes to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood! I want a pair.
Out of the shadows…
Ham and cheese
New pictures! Marco is a ham. He loves posing for pictures, and will usually give me a grin when I ask.
Lucky for us, because we love to photograph this handsome gent. Case in point: these pics of little man on his slide. Marco climbed and slid down his slide 20 times in a row, and each time he waited at the top and smiled – he wouldn’t slide down until I said “Cheese!” and clicked the shutter.
Haven’t posted height and weight in a long time, so here are the most recent numbers:
15 1 /2 months:
Height: 31 3/8″ (85th percentile)
Weight: 26 lbs (just under the 50th percentile
At last count, Marco has 8 top teeth and 10 bottom teeth! Unfortunately, they’ve all come in fairly close together – we’ve had some fun teething days.
Thank you!
Marco has learned to say “Thank you”, and it’s not only good manners, but totally cute:
