After a fun photo shoot (Marco picked his outfit entirely by himself, even his socks!) with Mommy, the little ham and cheese had a blast with his grandparents and great-grandparents, hunting for eggs! Marco had his family hiding eggs over and over.  He even got to spend some quality time with his Aunt Chloe, taking a walk, cuddling, and chasing her around the house.

First time having real ice cream! Strawberry ice cream from Three Twins Organic in the Oxbow Market. He LOVED it!

Anyway, as you can see, his hair was getting pretty long. We figured that it was probably time for a haircut. So, Mom and Dad took Marco for his first REAL haircut at a barbershop! You guys…this place was legit. Two old guys reading newspapers, actual barbershop poles, sports on the ancient tv.

For the first minute, he cried.

But then he was fine, and he thought it was kind of cool. Especially when he got to pick out a Tootsie Pop!

So handsome!

Marco and his mom and dad went to a Gender Reveal party for his friend Isabella’s parents! Turns out, Isabella and her big brother, Caleb, are going to get a new baby brother!

Hayden was there to enjoy the festivities, and he took his job as valet very seriously.

Marco got things grooving in the kitchen – boy loves to dance!

Then Marco was like, “Say whaaaat!!?”

But he and Hayden hugged it out LOL

Marco now tells us whenever he wants or needs a diaper change.

He’s been out of the high chair for awhile, but now he’s tired of the booster seat with the tray attached;  we’re starting to leave off the tray and let him eat from the big boy table.

any of the Sesame Street board books (he likes to point out the characters)

Marco is starting to like Caillou on the Sprout channel, and the other day he was trying to sing the theme song. So cute!

He gives lots of kisses and hugs, and likes when we give his stuffies kisses. Today, he even grabbed his monkey and his Pooh bear and had them kiss. SO ADORABLE.

Marco’s eating habits are still good; the only change is he won’t try meat. I’ve given him chicken (he’ll sometimes eat if I put in a quesadilla), turkey (no), fish (no). We’re thinking it might be because he’s never seen me eat it – I don’t know if that’s something he’s picked up on, and thinks that it’s bad. If we put meat or fish on his plate, he eats everything around the meat. My vegetarian boy, I guess! His favorite foods right now are:

Grapes
Bananas
Grilled cheese – we’ve started using a new recipe, from Deceptively Delicious; the grilled cheese with Butternut Squash puree is so good! Marco is enjoying the change!
Whole wheat crust mini pizzas
Soy nuggets
Pears
Olives
Coco Pop popcakes from Whole Foods – super tasty organic whole wheat, corn and rice cakes
Edamame
Avocado
Oranges
Tomatoes! He’s been so happy with our tomato plants in the garden; he loves to pick tomatoes and snack when we play outside.

During our trip to Disneyland, we stopped off at a CPK for dinner – he ate the entire plate of pasta shown above! LOL

He’s wearing a size 18 months in regular clothes, but his pajamas are all 2T or 24 months; his shoe size is 6.

Our little guy has all of his teeth now, with the exception of his 2nd molars. Evidently those will show up by the time he’s 3. I’m pretty impressed with his chompers!

How about that adorable hat? We bought it on etsy from KreativeKroshay - much cuter than the hat that came with the robe. Marco’s daycare went around the town to visit local businesses (and get candy), and they came to my office too! I was so excited to show him off to my coworkers.

You can’t see them in the pictures, but he also wore THESE shoes to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood! I want a pair.
