Marco doesn’t have an appointment with his pediatrician until he is 4 months old (September 27th is will be exactly 4 months), so I took his measurements at home and looked up his height-weight percentile on the CDC website:
Weight: 13 lbs (10% for age)
Height: 26.5 inches (98% for age)
Head Circumference: 16 inches (50% for age)
I’m a little worried about Marco’s weight, but he is eating what he should be, and doesn’t seem hungry when he finishes his bottles. He is drinking about 5 ounces of formula every 3 1/2 hours during the day, and his last feeding at 8:30pm is 6 ounces.
His height is amazing, but it is becoming difficult to carry him! I am too short for such a tall baby. 😀
Marco is learning to play with his toys, and has discovered that he has feet:
Marco was lying on his side this morning when Tim went to feed him his breakfast. Later in the morning, I put Marco on his play mat, and he started to roll around onto his side again. Then, all of a sudden, he rolled onto his tummy! I watched him do this two times in a row. He’s growing so fast!
UPDATES: Marco talks a little bit more now, and smiles ALL the time. He’s able to sit up with a few pillows propped around him, and if he’s lying on his tummy he can lift his head up and look around.
Marco is sleeping through the night now, and usually wakes up sometime between 7:30 and 8am. Occasionally, he will still wake up at 6:30am, but it’s no longer the norm. 🙂 Needless to say, Mama and Papa are THRILLED!
His 3 month measurements (I did them at home, his next doc appointment isn’t until next month): 40 1/2 cm head circumference, 25 1/2 inches in length, and 12 pounds, 5 ounces in weight.
